Officials warn of Platte River flooding

As the ice from the recent storm begins to melt off, minor flooding along the Platte River has been reported by Platte County officials.

Currently, waters have breach Union Mill Rd., on E-Hwy and is beginning to threaten roads nearby.

“I anticipate the snow and ice melt over the next several days to present a few challenges,” Platte County Public Works Director Greg Sager said. “We are continually monitoring the situation as it
develops and are taking proactive measures. Please drive with caution
in the low lying areas and do not drive through water on the roads.”
