Riverside to Close Levee Gates
Though the rain has stopped today in Parkville, more than eight inches of rain has fallen across the city since midnight Sunday. Runoff from the rainfall is seriously effecting creeks and streams and the Missouri River is threatening to flood. In response, Riverside will for the first time close the gates that border Parkville, effectively shutting off traffic on Hwy. 9 Tuesday.
