Park Hill Warns of Flood Related Traffic Issues

The city of Riverside notified the district this afternoon that it plans to close the levy flood gates in the morning because of high water from the Missouri River. This means Highway 9, between Parkville and Riverside, will be closed until the river level subsides.

School buses might be delayed picking up students tomorrow morning as they take detours around closed roads.

Students and parents driving to Park Hill South High School, which is located just off Highway 9, might need to find an alternate route in the morning.

The front gate will remain open and will be accessible from southbound I-635 using the northbound Hwy 9 ramp leading to Parkville.

The front gate will also be accessible from southbound Northwood Road.

The back gate is accessible off of High Drive, via Riverside.
